Ring Size Guide

Do you know your ring size? Finger sizes vary significantly from one person to the next, so it can be almost impossible to get your ring size right just by guessing. Use our ring sizer and guide to check your ring size before buying rings online.

HOW SHOULD A RING FIT?

Ultimately, the fit of a ring comes down to what feels comfortable for you. As a general guide, your ring should fit your finger well enough so it won't fall off, but it should also be loose enough to fit over your knuckle without too much difficulty. Keep in mind that finger sizes can naturally change throughout the day, so a well-fitting ring should accommodate these fluctuations.

SHOULD YOU GO LARGER OR SMALLER?

When choosing a ring size, it's better to err on the side of slightly larger rather than too small. Your ring should fit snugly on your finger without being too tight. If you're between ring sizes or notice a reasonable difference in your finger size throughout the day, opt for the slightly larger size. There's nothing worse than a ring that feels too tight and uncomfortable on your finger.

WIDE BAND RINGS

If you're purchasing a ring with a wide band, typically 8mm or more in width, you'll need to select a slightly larger size. We recommend going up a quarter to half a size when using US numerical sizes, or a full size when using the Australian and British alphabetical ring sizing system. Refer to our ring sizing chart below for more assistance in finding the correct size.

LARGE KNUCKLES

For those with larger knuckles, it's important to consider the ease of sliding the ring over your knuckle without too much difficulty This can be particularly relevant for individuals who have arthritis in their finger joints. To account for this, measure both your knuckle size and the part of your finger where the ring will sit. Choose a size that falls between your finger size and knuckle size, ensuring that the ring can comfortably fit over your knuckle.

A well-fitting ring should sit comfortably on your finger without being excessively tight. When putting it on or taking it off, it should slide over your knuckle with little resistance, without causing any bulging or leaving indent marks. Our rings are designed to fit true to size. If you find yourself between sizes, opt for a size down for thin rings and a size up for thicker rings to maintain a comfortable fit.

To check if your ring is not too tight, put it on and gently push it against the underside of your finger – there should be a small space between the ring and your finger.
